VMDK are files created automatically during the vm disk creation. The files .vmdk are the descriptor file and defines the structure of the –flat.vmdk disks (where the data live) Example: WIN2K8R2_SP1_STD.vmdk is Descriptor file WIN2K8R2_SP1_STD-flat.vmdk is data disk You can read the descriptor file to view the proprieties of the disk cat “diskname”.vmdk Example: cat WIN2K8R2_SP1_STD.vmdk […]
